MY STORY

I grew up in beautiful Maplewood New Jersey and moved to New York City to attend Parson School of Design in 1969.
I taught design and drawing at art and architecture
schools and worked at interiors and marketing firms. Since 1990 I have been a freelance display designer, creating enhanced product environments at retail stores and wholesale showrooms and trade shows.
Starting in 1995, I attended design, painting and drawing classes at F.I.T., Pratt, Parsons, S.V.A. and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. I am currently taking classes at the Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster NJ.
I have exhibited my paintings and collages at the Brooklyn Working Artist Coalition Show in Red Hook, Brooklyn, and the Arts Project of Cherry Grove Show, (I was the Chair of this community show for three years) which is on Fire Island, N.Y., and a show at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. I have been commissioned to create house portraits and interior/exterior murals.
Since September 2006 I am a member of the Hunterdon Watercolor Society, and since 2007, the group Treasurer. I had a one person show at the County Library in the Fall of 2011. I have participated in shows at the Prallsville Mill, the Tewksbury Historical Society, the Tinicum Arts Festival, and a juried exhibit presented by the Hunterdon County Cultural and Heritage Commission.
